Artificial intelligence developer Anthropic has signed a major deal to construct a new data centre in Queensland, valued at an estimated 32 billion dollars. According to reporting by a media wire service, the project represents a massive investment in Australian technology infrastructure, with the total cost of the facility equivalent to five times the projected budget for the Brisbane Olympic Games.
Upon completion, the Queensland facility is set to become the largest data centre of its kind in Australia.
